ACTC program fair a success
November 9, 2021
ASHLAND, Ky. – Ashland Community and Technical College hosted a program fair last Friday where local high school students met with varying departments and programs at the college to learn about what ACTC has to offer.
Five area high schools and around 200 students attended.
“We were pleased to provide an opportunity for local high school students to visit our campus and learn about our programs,” said Steve Woodburn, Chief Student Affairs Officer. “We always enjoy telling prospective students about what we offer at ACTC and look forward to hosting similar events in the future.”
With over twenty-five programs available, ACTC provides certificate, diploma and associate degree options that prepare students for employment or transfer to baccalaureate programs as well as enhances job skills through workforce training.
“Local high school students who attended the ACTC Program Fair had the opportunity to learn about all the academic programs and support services located on each of our campuses. It was so great to hear the students' conversations with faculty and staff about potential career pathways, transfer options and access to scholarships or grants,” said Brittany Spillman, Admissions Recruiter.
