WHAT IS HEALTH SCIENCE TECHNOLOGY?
The 60-63 credit Health Science Technology (HST) program is designed to prepare students for entry-level career opportunities in the field of healthcare and health-related services. The program is designed for those students who seek entry level jobs as well as for the currently employed individual wishing to broaden skills for career enhancement.
What are my career choices?
Graduates will possess marketable skills sets for direct care services as well as the foundation needed to understand current health care delivery. Many of the general education and core courses are required for completion of varied professional health programs. Examples include diagnostic medical sonography, medical assisting, nursing, Physical Therapist Assistant, radiography, respiratory care, and surgical technology.
Additionally, Health Science Technology program provides a smooth transition or career pathway to an Allied Health or nursing selective admission program once a student is accepted.

Length of Program
Most students may complete an AAS program in two years, provided they enroll in the recommended number of credit hours per semester and the availability of desired certificates within that timeframe. General education courses, with the exception of any course prerequisite, may be taken while attaining the required certificates.
