Nursing Curriculum

Year One

Prerequisites

  • AA or AS Quantitative Reasoning - 3 Credit Hours
  • BIO 137 Human Anatomy and Physiology - 4 Credit Hours
  • PSY 110 General Psychology - 3 Credit Hours
  • Documentation of 75 hour Nurse Aide Training or Equivalent - 0-3 Credit Hours
  • Healthcare Provider CPR - 0-1 Credit Hours
  • Total Hours - 10-14 Credit Hours

* IF ADMITTED INTO THE NURSING PROGRAM, documentation of successful completion of a minimum 75-hour nursing assistant course or its equivalent (i.e. completion of nursing fundamentals in another RN program; Army Medic or Navy Corpsman; LPN licensure) is required prior to enrolling in the first nursing course. If the N.A.A. course was completed greater than 2 years prior to admission, it will not meet the requirement unless the applicant has been listed on the state registry.

First Semester

Second Semester

  • NSG 195 Transition to ADN or NSG 219 Medical Surgical Nursing I - 4-7 Credit Hours

  • Total Hours - 10-13 Credit Hours

Year Two

Third Semester

  • NSG 229 Medical Surgical Nursing II - 7 Credit Hours
