Health Science Technology

The 60-63 credit Health Science Technology (HST) program is designed to prepare students for entry-level career opportunities in the field of healthcare and health-related services. The program is designed for those students who seek entry level jobs as well as for the currently employed individual wishing to broaden skills for career enhancement.

Career Path

Graduates will possess marketable skills sets for direct care services as well as the foundation needed to understand current health care delivery. Many of the general education and core courses are required for completion of varied professional health programs. Examples include diagnostic medical sonography, medical assisting, nursing, physical therapy assistant, radiography, respiratory care, and surgical technology.

Additionally,Health Science Technology programprovides a smooth transition or career pathway to an Allied Health or nursing selective admission program once a student is accepted.

The are no special admissions requirements for the program.

Program Length

The Health Science Technology program consists of 60-63 total credit hours and can be completed in two years.
