Ordering Textbooks Just Got Easier for Online Classes

Learn By Term Online Textbook Orders http://kctcs.bncollege.com

Procedure for KCTCS Online Textbooks

  1. Select your term (example Fall 2009)
  2. Select your Department (example ENG or MT)
  3. Select your Course (example 101, 102, 181)
  4. Select your Section (example B5Z1, 15Z1)
  5. Click on Continue
  6. Click on View Textbook List
  7. Click on New or Used and then add to Cart
  8. Click on Continuing Shopping or if finished then click Checkout
  9. Click on Register if you have not registered before. If already registered then Log in
  10. Make sure you use a active e-mail addess
  11. Select your shipping method
  12. Select the method of payment
  13. Click on Submit
  14. Verify you order and click on Place Order
  15. Then print your Confirmation Order
  16. You will receive a Confirmation Email with Tracking Number when you order is shipped

Payment Options

We accept the following forms of payment for your online purchase:

  • Credit Cards (American Express, Discover, Master Card, Visa)
  • Barnes & Noble Gift Cards

When utilizing Student Financial Aid please note the following:

  • Financial Aid for any given semester, open 10 days prior to the start of classes, you may place your book order early and it will be shipped when financial aid is available.
  • Your Financial Aid Release (FAR) form must be signed and turned into your home campus.
  • You must have received an email to your KCTCS email account notifying you that your financial aid is NOW available in the bookstore. Until you receive the email, your aid is not available in the bookstore and your books cannot be shipped. You may still place your order and your books will be shipped within 48 hours of the bookstore receiving your financial aid.
  • You financial aid may be delayed in reaching the bookstore due to grades being posted from the previous semester, the FAR form not being signed, SAP review or federal verification. Also, keep in mind it takes 2 to 12 weeks to process your financial aid paperwork. Please contact your financial aid office if you have not received an email and have completed all of the necessary paperwork.
  • You will receive a confirmation email with tracking number when your order is shipped from the bookstore.

 

Shipping & Delivery Fees

  • Standard UPS ground shipping (2 to 4 days) — $6.95 for the first item and $1.95 for each additional item
  • Shipping address (must be a street address not a PO Box)

  • Have your class schedule available
  • Shipping address (must be a street address not a PO Box)
  • The books will be shipped within 48 hours of receiving your check
  • If paying by check, make the check out to ACTC Bookstore and mail it to Ashland Community & Technical College Bookstore at 902 Technology Drive, Grayson, KY 41143-9500

 

Refund Policy

Textbooks

  • Full Refund, if returned within the first week of class, in your original form of payment with a receipt.
  • You can take your book(s) to your home campus bookstore for a refund or ship the book(s) back to the Ashland Community & Technical College Bookstore at 902 Technology Drive, Grayson, KY 41143-9500.

 

Why a Class May Not Be Listed or No Book Is Available

  • There may not be a book required for the class, and you should speak with your faculty member.
  • The Distance Learning bookstore has not yet received an order from the faculty member for a book to be posted.
  • The Distance Learning class is being offered locally and the book is available at the local KCTCS bookstore.
  • The class you are searching for is not a Distance Learning class and the book is available at the local KCTCS bookstore.
