Dr. Gwen Joseph Named Interim President of Elizabethtown Community and Technical College

Versailles, Ky. — Kentucky Community and Technical College (KCTCS) President Dr. Jay Box announced today that former KCTCS Vice President Dr. Gwen Joseph will become interim president of Elizabethtown Community and Technical College (ECTC) effective Aug. 15. Joseph retired from KCTCS in December 2011.

KCTCS Summer Enrollment Numbers on The Uptick

Versailles, Ky. —  The Kentucky Community and Technical College System's (KCTCS) summer enrollment numbers are higher than they were last year at this point and are on pace to surpass 2015 total summer enrollment. Systemwide enrollment is up 2 percent, with some colleges showing increases from 2– 25 percent.

All KCTCS Colleges Paticipating in Statewide Express Enrollment Event July 18-22

Versailles, Ky. — The 16 colleges of the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) are offering students a one-stop enrollment opportunity during the week of July 18. Express Enrollment week is an event to help prospective students with one-on-one advising regarding enrollment, financial aid, scheduling and other items that need to be completed for the fall semester. Additionally, if a student has not taken a required test, that can be scheduled as well.

KY Coal Academy Awards Scholarships

Versailles, Ky. — The Kentucky Coal Academy (KCA) is pleased to announce and award 105 scholarships, valued at $1,000 each, to local high school and area technology center students who participated in, and graduated from, its Junior Coal Academy programs across the state during the 2015-16 academic year.
