Maximum Load  

• 19 credit hours or the number of hours specified in the curriculum for the particular semester, whichever is larger

Overload Request

A student may request an overload if he or she has:

1.  Attained a 3.0 GPA on a load of at least 15 hours the previous semester
2.  Permission from the Dean of Student Affairs

If these conditions are met, the student may be granted permission to take another 3 credit hours, not to exceed 22 credit hours.  

Overload status may not apply to students enrolled in some technical programs due to the fact that a normal course load for the technical programs may require over 20 credit hours of classes per semester.
