NAA 100 — Nursing Assistant Skills 1
- Students enrolling in the course must have proof of a 2 Step TB test and Hepatitis B vaccination series. Students are also required to have a Caregiver Misconduct Registry check.
- Certification earned upon successfully passing state exam: State Registered Nurse Aide (SRNA)
- Successful completion of NAA 100 is required for the Licensed Practical Nursing and Associate Degree Nursing programs.
Students completing the NAA 100 course are eligible for jobs where you will provide basic care to residents in long term care facilities, home health, hospice, rehabilitation facilities, or other health care facilities. The average salary for an SRNA is $11.50/hour.
NAA 115 — Nursing Assistant Skills II
- Students enrolling in the course must have proof of a 2 step TB test, Hepatitis B vaccination series, MMR, and annual flu vaccine.
Students completing the NAA 115 course can provide basic care to patients in the inpatient/hospital setting, including preoperative and postoperative care areas, as a Patient Care Technician. Students can also work in an outpatient clinical setting, such as physician’s office, hospice, occupational health, etc. The starting salary is $11-$15/hour.
