Leadership

Since 2001, Ashland Community and Technical College has been under the leadership of Dr. Greg Adkins. During his tenure, the college has not only grown in enrollment but also become more vital to the success of the community. As a tri-state native, Dr. Adkins knows the difficulties facing the region and its people.

He has worked to forge new relationships among colleague college and university presidents, public school leaders, and the business community.

Those relationships have created initiatives such as:

  • Tuition Reciprocity for area residents to go to college in neighboring states at in-state tuition rates,
  • "Multiversity" website as a "one-stop shopping" website for all of the public colleges and universities in the region,
  • Planning for a Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics or "STEM" magnet high school site for high school students in the FIVCO area.
  • Dozens of "2 + 2 agreements" with area universities for students who wish to continue their education at a four year college after they complete their Associate Degree at ACTC.

The college has grown in many ways since 2001. ACTC will continue to grow and evolve in an effort to better serve the community.
